About Us

Your ReSource, Inc. is a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit human service, environmental organization designed to engage in pragmatic approaches to meeting human needs in environmentally conscious and sustainable ways. Operations began in November 2005, at our present facility in Ewing, NJ, with the intent of serving our local communities, then slowly expanding to a broader constituency across the state.

YR has been established to meet the challenge of finding practical, creative, person centered approaches to helping our citizens realize and appreciate the interdependence between themselves, the economy and the environment and to integrate this understanding into their daily lives and the choices they make.

• YR identifies critical topics that impact both individuals, their communities and the environment.
• YR develops innovative approaches and sustainable solutions that highlight the effectiveness of reuse and recycling in environmental conservation.
• YR offers adults and children meaningful new strategies that educate and challenge them to support projects that are ecologically sound, economically viable and socially just and humane.

Your ReSource will become a dynamic community center, in the Delaware Valley, and through its operations will demonstrate that there is a vital  interdependency between people, the environment and the economy.

Mission

The mission of Your ReSource is to meet critical individual and community needs by  facilitating an understanding of and increase participation in, reuse, recycling and environmentally conscious consumer behavior.

Core Values

The following core values and beliefs drive Your ReSource.  All services and programs as well as, operational activities, are evaluated against these values.

1. Each of us has an individual responsibility, within the parameters of each of our lives, to pursue life's activities in a manner that respects the interdependency between people, the environment and the economy. Practical methodologies are needed to help people make the connection with this interdependency. Your ReSource will demonstrate its belief in this value by structuring and implementing its programs, services, employment practices, work environment and operational practices in a manner that makes this understanding apparent.

2. While not limited exclusively to the region, serving the local citizenry (within 50 miles) is always the first priority of Your ReSource. Developing partnerships with and supporting an array of community groups and businesses that would benefit (or that serve a consitituency that would benefit) from the materials and services Your ReSource offers are an important component of meeting the YR mission.

3. Strong local economies are critical to the long term health and well being of all individuals. Your ReSource will build a network of business resources (within 100 miles) expressing similar values and, in addition to patronizing them for the organization, encourage YR patrons to also support these businesses and organizations.

4. There is a continuing need for more efficient and economic strategies for providing materials and services for individuals of limited means. This mission driven value reflects the organization's belief that reuse is one direct, "no red tape" methodology for achieving this.
